CUSTOM AIR HANDLING

Haakon custom air handling units offer versatility and efficiency to fulfill the demands of any environment.

Standard features include:

• Walls and roofs constructed from thermal acoustical   panels typicall of 16 gauge satin coat galvanized steel   with 2-inch 3 pound density rigid fiberglass insulation.

• Structural steel bases built with perimeter channels and   intermediate structural supports. A heavy gauge checker   plate floors is installed on top of the base and the seams   are continuously welded.

• Heavy duty industrial doors are manufactured from 16   gauge satin coat galvanized steel. Doors are double-wall   construction with a 22 gauge solid metal liner and door   corners are continuously welded for rigidity.

• Can be provided with internal hot, chilled, glycol, or steam   piping. All piping is factory installed and leak tested prior   to shipment. All factory installed piping is supported in   accordance with seismic codes for the installation location.

AAON CANADA NJ-Series

Air handling units are the building block of the HVAC industry. Building owners, designers, and contractors are facing more constraints today than ever before, both in new and retrofit construction. Cost, quality, fast track schedules, energy efficiency, I.A.Q., sound, space, have all created new pressures in today’s construction industry. With AAON Canada NJ-Series custom air handling units, we can provide you with solutions to your HVAC constraints by providing a high quality and highly flexible product. By working with your local Sales Engineer, we can provide timely and cost effective solutions.

By definition, NJ-Series Custom Air Handling is unique. With this in mind, our catalogue includes the building blocks for basic NJ-Series air handling units. However, it is our experience that as no two HVAC designs are identical, typically no two NJ Air Handlers are identical either. As a testimony to our systems engineers, we have discovered that 95% of NJ-Series air handlers are not from catalogued data. Our catalogue includes sample submittals to illustrate our belief of providing solutions customers want. We strongly encourage you to partner with our sales engineers in order to develop tailor-made solutions.
Think Flexible – Think AIR

The NJ-Series Custom Air Handling Units are designed for an unlimited variety of commercial and industrial applications including:

Air Wise MN Direct Fired Make Up Air Units have been applied in numerous industrial and commercial projects requiring large volumes of 100% fresh air. Typical applications for the MN-Series units include: paint booths, kitchens, industrial processes, theatres, and door heaters. Situations where large volumes of fresh air are required, such as; large warehouse space heating, meeting IAQ requirements, combating odor, and building pressurization challenges are ideally suited for the MN-Series units. MN-Series units are the most efficient method of heating 100% outside air. The MN-Series unit incorporates a high efficiency burner, which is capable of a high turndown ratio, maximizing discharge air temperature control with minimal combustion by-products. MN-Series units can also be combined with our plate and frame heat exchanger for even higher efficiencies! MN-Series units can also be highly customized beyond the catalogued arrangements.

The MN Direct Fired Make Up Air Units are designed for a variety of commercial and industrial applications including:

• 1600 CFM to 70,000 CFM and Larger
• 115 MBH to 7500 MBH Heating Output
•30:1 Turndown Ratio · Indoor / Outdoor Units
• All Casing Options - Single or Double Wall, 1"&2"
• Horizontal and Vertical Draw Thru Designs
• Industrial Grade Double Width Fans Cooling Coils - DX or Chilled Water
• We will factory mount and test all O.E.M. DDC controls for interfacing to existing BAS systems.
• C.G.A. Approved
•Factory Mutual Standards

The Air Wise TBA-Series Indirect Fired Make Up Air Unit is the most prominent product in the AIR WISE portfolio. Owners and designers have come to appreciate the durability and quality in the TBA-Series’ subtle design strengths. Design is based upon the efficient 3-Pass stainless steel drum and tube style heat exchanger. The 3-Pass design induces better heat transfer across the primary drum by producing a more uniform air temperature distribution. With an even temperature gradient, decreases in expansion and contraction stresses result in an increased life expectancy. All AIR WISE heat exchangers are supplied with a 10 year parts warranty. The AIR WISE TBA-Series design also uses the heaviest gauge stainless steel within the industry, and can be specified with 409 S.S. as standard or 321 S.S. as an option. AIR WISE also uses “off the shelf” components for the complete burner, gas train and control components. The added insurance of non-proprietary parts decreases replacement costs years into the future and also increases the ease of service with familiarity. AIR WISE also believes in using only the finest quality components for fans, dampers, optional cooling coils, compressors, acutators, gas valves, and wiring. As with all AIR WISE air handling products, TBA-Series units can be built to almost any specification or application, from special construction characteristics, to interfacing with complex DDC building controls. We hope you come to appreciate the pride and flexibility of the AIR WISE TBA-Series!

The TBA-Series Indirect Fired Make Up Air Units are designed for a variety of commercial and industrial applications including:

Air Rotation Systems

The patented and trademarked Johnson Air Rotation System® heats, cools and ventilates large, open buildings such as manufacturing, distribution and warehouse facilities. Johnson Air Rotation Systems® are simply the best way to condition large, open buildings because:

• The first cost of an Air Rotation System® is competitive   with roof-top air handlers and the various kinds of make-  up air equipment.

• The Johnson Air Rotation System® installs quickly and   easily, requiring only 3 men for ½ day for a typical   installation.

• The Johnson Air Rotation System® operating costs (fuel   and electricity) are a fraction of the cost of other HVAC   equipment.

• The Johnson Air Rotation System® lasts 30 or more years.

• The Johnson Air Rotation System® requires annual   maintenance that takes less than 1 hour.

In a single unit, a Johnson Air Rotation® System can deliver up to 7,000,000 MBH, 500 tons of cooling and 200,000 CFM. It is breathtaking to see a single unit condition a space of 200,000 square feet, maintaining temperature and humidity within + 1oF and + 1% RH.

In addition to the efficiencies of packing so much heating and air conditioning capability into one machine, there are many other efficiencies, which we can demonstrate:

• Our system uses up to 70% less fuel than unit heaters,   infra-red, roof-tops or direct-fired heating units.

• Our system uses up to 70% less horsepower, and 70%   less in electricity to heat or air condition warehouses,   distribution and manufacturing facilities.

• Our system speeds the entire construction process in new   buildings and retrofits because it may be installed at any   time, even at the end of construction, and there are no   special construction requirements such as roof loads,   structural support, roof penetrations, ductwork,   supplemental paddle fans or other construction   requirements.
