Derek Gordon, president and CEO of HTS in Canada, also serves as the director of U.S. Operations for the company. In this role, he sets corporate direction and goals for all divisions and interests of HTS. He also manages and develops the HTS group of companies including distribution, parts, service, controls and manufacturing entities.
With a career spanning 30 years, Gordon spent 10 years at Trane Company before forming HTS Engineering, Ltd. 20 years ago. He received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario Canada and is certified as a professional engineer. He is LEED® certified, a member of numerous manufacturer advisory boards and is a member of Professional Engineers of Ontario. He also is a graduate of the prestigious Richard Ivey School of Business Quantum Shift™ Program – an honor bestowed on only 40 top Canadian business entrepreneurs annually.
